Daniel Genton (63) holds two Master of Science degrees (AgroParisTech) one in Agronomy and one in Food Science and Engineering. He also holds a Post-Master degree (AgroParisTech) for Management and Administration in environmental sciences and policies, an EMBA from HEC and a degree from IHEDN (Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence). He is an expert in Strategy, Business Development, Innovation and Intercultural Management.

Daniel has experience in both the public and private sector. He srarted his career as a civil servant in the Ministry of Agriculture. Among other positions, he has worked for Gist Brocades (a former Dutch Biotechnology Group) as Managing director for both French and Spanish operations and for Soparind / Bongrain group (a French agro multinational) as VP for industrial and scientific affairs and is currently consultant in business strategy and organization.

For the twelve past years, Daniel has been working extensively with HEC Paris both in the academic direction and in the delivery of several high level international executive programs such as EADS, Indian Railways, “University of Coton” West Africa and in sectors such as banking, insurance and industry.

He is the author of several articles, papers and books.

Daniel has been for 8 years the Chairman of the Board of École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Agricoles et Alimentaires.

Daniel has been Chairman of the Strategic Committee of AgroParisTech.
